Clifton Blades

Fourteen years ago, Ellis Whitt published, Extraordinary Fluted Points of the Tennessee Valley Region. In this new volume he explores the little known “Clifton Blades” which are found in a relatively small area of Tennessee and Alabama. They are large, Late Woodland, teardrop blades that are finely made from a distinctive chert. This publication documents all of the known blades with excellent, large color photos. Ellis shares the majority of the known articles from various publications discussing and/or picturing these blades.
Highly recommended
