We were sorry to learn that on the morning of Mar 9, Dale
passed away at age 76, due to a sever inquiry received
when cutting a tree down on Sunday.
Dale was one of the few remaining founding members of the Iowa, Hawkeye State
Archaeological Society - 1970.
He served as President of the society, and his wife Betty has served as the society
Secretary / Treasurer for many years.
Dale and Betty started and has hosted the annual Keokuk Indian Artifact show,
since it conception.
He was a regular at many of the annual Indian artifact shows, his favorite being
the Kentucky Dam show, Gilbertsville, Kentucky.
Dale also served as President of the Central State Archaeological Society.
He was friendly to all and always willing to listen and help anyone, Dale was
a respected collector and will be missed by those who knew him.
In accordance with Dales wishes his body has been cremated. Visitation will open
at 3 P.M. with family present from 5-7 P.M. Friday March 13, 2015 at Pedrick
Funeral Home, Keosauqua. A memorial service will be held in Roscoe, Mo at a later
date with burial at the Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Memorial to Harness Cemetery
may be left at funeral home or mailed to the family at 205 Hickory Street, Mt.
