Bill Wilkie

Bill passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 17th, 2012. He is survived by his mother Paulyne Wilkie, his sister Van Paula Wilkie and his brother Tony Wilkie. He is also survived by significant others, Ann Beane Hudson and Toni Martinez. He was a farmer, avid outdoorsman and had a great passion for Indian pottery.

I met Bill 49 years ago on the school bus. We became friends, and began searching for arrowheads together every chance we got. Our high school science teacher introduced us to the methods utilized to uncover Indian pottery, and the adventure began. We collected thousands of pots together. Bill's favorite pottery was Quapaw, especially the polychrome water bottles. Bill was an honest man, fun to be around, and will be greatly missed.
