On the Cover
The Davis Squirrel Pipe, found by John Davis on this farm near Eureka,
Missouri, in 1983. It is made of red stone, usually called bauxite.
This pipe was chosen to represent the Greater St. Louis Archaeological
Society because of it's beauty and rarity. See Page 107 for additional
information.
