     Rodney Peck, of Harrisburg, North Carolina is an acknowledged authority on the American Indian in North Carolina and Virginia. He has served as a representative of North Carolina and Eastern States Archaeological Federation, past President of the Central States Archaeological Societies, and is on the board of many Archaeological Societies. Mr. Peck has written over 200 articles on the American Indian and is the author of 3 books.

     Rodney was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up mainly in Norfolk, Virginia where he received a degree in architecture from Old Dominion University. Presently, Duke Energy employs Mr. Peck in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1992, Mr. Peck received the Piedmont Archaeologist of the Year award for outstanding services in the Carolinas.
