Change of Address for CSASI Officers

How do I notify CSASI of the new CSASI Officers address?

Contact the CSASI 1st Vice President. Send the full name and new address, including your new nine digit zip code to the CSASI Vice President. As CSASI 1st Vice President, one duty is to coordinate between the journal editor and web master to keep the officers information current and accurate. Check the current Central States Archaeological Societies Officers web page for the CSASI 1st Vice President contact information. The CSASI 1st Vice President will coordinate with the Editor In Chief (EIC) and web site developer on posting show and officer data in journals and on-line.

NOTE THE PHONE NUMBER FORMAT

Place a descriptive subject on the email. Email without subject may be deleted as spam. List the CSASI State and/or CASI office being changed. The correct format for submission is: Left justified. How many journals will I receive?	The Central States Archaeological Journal is published collectively by the State Societies. Membership to one of the state societies entitles you to the CSA Journal 4 times per year. See CSAS Membership page for more details
Can I mail my membership in?	Yes. See membership to join the CSAS. The business address is located there. Send all the data requested along with your membership check to the state society you are joining.
Who do I contact to have my mailing address changed?	Contact the CSASI business manager with your new address to receive the journal and other CSAS material. Contact the business manager at csasi-businessmanager
If you joined in July, would the membership would be for a full year starting from the date of payment (ex: July 04 - June 05), or would it be prorated somehow?	The payment would be prorated to the first of the year. If someone joins very late in a calendar year, then dues might go towards the new year.
How does a subscription services or libraries become a member?	All who wish to become a CSAS member; individual joining a specific state society or an institution can join on the web site or by contacting the state (joining a specific state) or CSAS Institutional Manager (institution).
I am a member of another Archaeological Society, and they are not on the list. Your web site will not let me continue to subscribe without listing a member state. Does this mean I cannot subscribe to the CSAS publication?	You can join any state society within the Central States Archaeological Societies. You do not need to be a resident of the state society you join. Anyone and any organization can become a member of the Central States Archaeological Societies.

I submitted a CSASI membership process on the web site and have not recieved any information?	The Central States Archaeological Society states societies handles their respective memberships. Membership appilcations are sent to a state society or the CSASI POC depending on the process used online. If you compelted the 2-step memberhip process online where you select a state to join, contact that state society treasurer. If you compelted the CSASI QuickJoin memberhip process online, contact the CSASI Librarian or Editor. When contacting CSASI concerning a memberhip issue, please include the method used to join and what state you are joining. See CSAS Officers page for state treasurer point of contact. I sent in my CSASI membership payment, which was cashed and I have not received any journal.	There may be a delay once payment is received while the membership process flows through the channels. Central States Archaeological Societies QUICK Membership

What is the differnce between the CSASI QuickJoin and the CSASI membership process?	The Central States Archaeological Journal membership process allows a potential member to select the payment method (check or PayPal) and the CSASI state society to join. State societies must accept PayPal to use this method of payment. This membership process is accessed via the menu located at the top of CSASI pages allows the new member to select the state society they wish to join. Through this membership process only specific societies accept electronic payments, all accept check. The CSASI QuickJoin memberhip process submits a PayPal payment to the CSASI society. The CSASI POC (business manage) will assign the new membership to the CSASI member society of your residence, or to a CSASI member society if your state of residence is not a CSASI member society. The "CSASI QuickJoin" functionality can be access through three (3) different access points. One is located on the CSASI main web page under the CSASI title image. The second is using the subdomain URL join.csasi.org. The third is the URL joincsasi.org.
How is the quick membership processed?	The PayPal transactions are reviewed on a regular schedule . The membership name and mailing address are sent to the CSASI editor. The editor compiles a list of recent new members and sends this list to the CSASI Business Manager. New members are mailed the current issues of the CSASI journals Thereon the new members receive issues
Who do I contact with questions about the quick membership?	Contact the CSASI Editor at EditorCSAJ@gmail.com with any questions.
How long is it after the quick membership is paid through PayPal that I can expect a journal?	Expect a journal in the mail within one to two months.

Can State member societies put a web site on the CSASI server?	Yes. The Central States Archaeological Society maintains its web server and retains space for its member states.

Authentication

I have a very nice relic I would like to find out if it is authentic. How would I go about getting that done?

CSAS does not condone the selling of Indian artifacts. But CSAS does recognize that fraudulent pieces are being passed as authentic every day. To battle this some individuals are turning to relic authentication. Some of these can be found in our member links. Authentication is a subjective art and as such can be construed as an opinion. Please be careful when using such service. CSAS is not in partnership with any authentication services.

50 year CD

I purchased the 50th Anniversary CD by mailing in the form with a personal check. I have not received the CD. Please advice.

The 50 year CD project has been put on hold. The members will be notified when we have continued this project. Meanwhile, refunds are being processed for the members who have sent in requests for them. Due to the fact that the X Editor In Chief , Ellen Worley, has both the list of members who purchased the CDs and the money, we are only able to refund the checks upon proof of payment. To process your refund we need a copy of the check (front and back) sent to Jack Willhoit, PO Box 1486, Lexington, SC 29071 or email to lithoman123@aol.com At that time your request will be processed and your money will be refunded. Please include the mailing address for your refund.

Purchase of Journals, and library journal orders

I made a mistake on my journal order; who do I contact?	Contact the CSASI current librarian with a detailed email. Please include what you have purchased and if possible, when you made the purchase.
I sent in a hand written order for a set of journals, but found the cost had changed. Why?	The CSASI officers occasionally modify the price of the journals. This may occur during the annual officers meeting. The next printed journal then reflects this price change. However some individuals will order from a journal 1 year or 10 years old which is not current. The current cost of journals for purchase can always be viewed on the CSASI web site.
What are the shipping prices when I purchase journals?	Please see the mail in journal purchase form for postal rates. These rates are subject to change.
I sent in an order to the librarian for this years journal, why can't I purchase them from the librarian?	Current year issues are not available through the librarian until march of the following year. Contact your state society to purchase current year issues.
I sent in an order to the librarian for journals but have not received my order.	IMPORTANT: always include your phone number when corresponding concerning a CSASI journal order. Contact the CSASI current librarian There may have been a problem with your order and possibly it could not be filled. Common order problems are including special journal issues in bulk order specials. This is clearly indicated in the ordering process. Check your spam folder, emails may be going there and you are not seeing the attempts to get the order corrected. Contact the CSASI current librarian with any questions.
I'd like to use the "10 Journals for $30" option. I do not see anywhere on the form to indicate which journals I want	When you entering the data into paypal there is a data field for specifying the desired journal issues; specify quantity, year, volume and issue. Please verify the desired issues are available. Common order problems are including special journal issues in bulk order specials.
