On the Cover
orate ceremonial cache of 64 vessels placed in Mound D at the Kolomoki
site in southwestern Georgia. Mound D was the second largest at
the site, which also included a large Temple Mound, two conical burial
mounds
and several other
platform mounds. Both vessels are on display in the museum at Kolomoki
Mounds State Park in Blakely, Georgia. See story on page 4.
